Experts say they are concerned the Gulf of Mexico oil spill could be headed to the Florida Keys and perhaps up the East Coast. Satellite images show the surface area of this spill nearly tripled in size in just a day. The Coast Guard estimates that about 200,000 gallons of oil are spewing out each day.

President Barack Obama says the partisan rants and name-calling in recent political debates are a serious danger to America’s democracy. In a commencement speech of the University of Michigan, Obama encouraged graduates to seek out opposing views on the issues even if it makes their blood boil.

The Food and Drug Administration is investigating a Pennsylvania company after the recall of some over-the-counter drugs. McNeil Consumer Healthcare says it issued the voluntary recall of the children’s versions of 40 liquid medications including Tylenol and Benadryl because they don’t meet quality standards.

And in Maine, nearly 2 dozen women hit the streets to protest the double standard. Going topless is legal in Maine but protestors say they are fighting for social acceptance.
