IELTS Writing: Flow chart

The diagrams below describe how to recycle organic waste to produce fertiliser (compost).
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Introducton
· The diagrams illustrate the process of making fertiliser from organic waste.
· The diagrams describe the stages in the production of compost from recycled organic waste.
· The diagrams show how to recycle organic waste to produce fertiliser.

Body
Step 1

Prepare a plastic container of about 2 cubic metres.

Step 2

Put a layer of food of about 15 centimetres.

Add some more organic waste till the container is half-full.

Step 3 + 4
· Finally, pour some nitrogen and hot water into the container before sealing it up so that the heat can help the formation of the compost.

Step 5
· After six months, the compost will be ready for nourishing plants and flowers in the garden.
· Six months later, when the compost is ready, all we need to do is to mix them with garden soil to fertilise the plants and flowers.
