Part 2 & 3

Part 2

Describe a newly built public facility (such as parks, cinemas etc.) that influences your city.

You should say:

Where this facility is

When it was built

What people can do there

What influence this facility has

The newly built public facility I’d like to share with you is a park in my community, which is not far away from my home and only takes ten minutes to walk there.

I’m not sure about the exact time that the park was built, but I guess it’s definitely not an old one since all the facilities inside were brand-new. The first time I found this place was about 3 months ago. I still remembered that was a lovely Sunday afternoon. After playing computer games all day long, I decided to get some fresh air and find a quiet place to wind down. Then I found this place on my google map by coincidence. Since it was very close to my apartment, I decided to have a look.

From that day on, I often go to that park, nearly on a weekly basis. Just like many other parks, there’re also some common facilities in this small area, like fountain, pavilion, benches, blossoms and so on. But differently, this one is extremely tranquil. Most people here prefer to do some quiet activates, such as playing Tai Chi, walking a dog, having a cup of coffee and reading a book.

Nowadays we can’t avoid sitting in front of a computer for a long time, and gradually get used to the sedentary life. However, I do think it’s very essential to go out and get some fresh air by doing some outdoor activities. For me, this place is just the right one to relax, since is very peaceful and refreshing, just like an oasis in the city.
