课堂内容提要：

一、TODAY:CHINESE FOOD IN THE USA
1.American Chinese cuisine often uses ingredients nor native to and veru rarely used in China.One such example is the common use of western broccoli（西兰）instead of Chinese broccoli（芥兰）in American Chinese cuisine.

2.Most Chinese people have never even heard of a General Tsao,and are completely befuddled by the overly asuced fried chicken dish that American know as General Tsao's chicken.

3.Chinese food.It varied tremendously by region:Sichuan cuidine is spicy,Shandong cuisine is generally salty and crispy,and Cantonese cuisine is sweet,for example.

二、LIFE IN A COLLEGE TOWN
1.If you ask any college student where they'll be on a Friday night(or Sunday,Monday,and Wednesday,for that matter)in Gainesville,the answer is going to be Midtown.This strtch of restaurant and bars is located directly across from campus on University Avenue,and is home to Gainesille classics like The Swamp Restaurant,101 Cantina and Balls.And,since Midtown is within walking distance for many Gator,stumbling home after a rowdy night on the town is never a problem.
