In China, it is very hard to say that people in the show business are model citizens, so it takes no surprise that several famous stars are involved in the scandals of drug abuses. And I find it quite convenient that these people were always busted in Beijing, the capital near the north frontier with North Korea. Indeed, China has a long suffering history of drugs trafficking which can revert to the first Opium war in 1840. Now the Chinese government brags about its effectiveness and efficiency of cracking drug ring and busting the drug users, but it is shy of and even dodges the question who is the primary provider of drugs which inundate the north China. The answer is simple, it’s North Korea, our brother and comrade with whom we have a profound friendship clotted in the Korean War. How ironic, it is poisoning us. Perhaps, between us there’s no friendship, just mutual dependency and mutual poisoning between two kleptocracies.
