The Senate has scheduled a vote on final passage of its health care overhaul bill for around 8 a.m. on Thursday, Christmas Eve. Passage would set the stage for negotiations to resolve differences with the House-passed bill.

Police say they want to question the husband of the missing Utah woman about a car he allegedly rented that was driven hundreds of miles following his wife's disappearance December 7th. Police consider Josh Powell a person of interest.

Newly released documents show the FBI helped facilitate interviews in the Philippines carried out by California authorities investigating Michael Jackson for sexual abuse. The files show investigators traveled to Manila 1993 to speak to two former Neverland employees who claimed they saw Jackson fondle young boys.

Serena Williams was a landslide choice as Female Athlete of the Year by members of the Associated Press. Williams received 66 of 158 votes cast. No one else got more than 18 votes.
