The trains are set to run in the San Francisco Bay Area on Wednesday while negotiations continue over a new contract for BART transit workers.
 
And the Alaska red king crab season is underway. But a lot of fishing boats are stuck in drydock. It's because the federal managers who set individual fishing "are furloughed due to the partial government shutdown."
