President Obama is accusing Washington of getting distracted from the economy. His speech in Illinois Wednesday included no new policy initiatives, but he said that reversing bad economic trends should be Washington’s highest priority. 
 
Anthony Weiner is forging ahead with his mayoral campaign after a new round of revelations about his salacious online exchanges with women. Weiner says he thinks voters are more interested in the challenges they face than in any of his past embarrassments. 
 
Pope Francis has celebrated his first public mass in Brazil, urging the faithful to resist the idols of money, power and pleasure. During the mass, he encouraged Catholics to keep their values of faith, generosity and fraternity. 
 
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen a name for their two-day-old baby, who is third in line to the throne. Britain’s new prince has been named George Alexander Louis, he’ll be known as Prince George of Cambridge.
