Clashes across Egypt Friday in the wake of the ouster of President Mohammed Morsi. Troops fired on protesters in Cairo and Islamists battled with Morsi opponents. The Health Ministry confirms a number of people have been killed.
 
The mother of Trayvon Martin testified that screams for help heard on a 911 call came from her 17-year-old son. Sybrina Fulton took the witness stand during the trial of George Zimmerman, the former neighborhood watch volunteer charged with murder in Martin's shooting death.
 
In California, investigators are trying to figure out what caused a wooden platform loaded with live fireworks to collapse. Twenty-eight people were injured when the fireworks were sent into a crowd of people waiting for a 4th of July show.
 
Pope Francis has cleared John Paul II for sainthood, approving a miracle attributed to his intercession.
