2010年已然过去,2011年欣然来到。新的一年有什么美好的愿望吗?我们一起来看看大家的分享……

"I want to learn pencil sketching to design my own wedding dress in the future."

"I will learn to ride a bike. Then I can ride to a far place that I can't possibly go to at present."

"I will practice skating much. I want to be the fastest among my friends."

These are the New Year's resolutions for 2011 from students at Jingyuan Primary School. When they grow up, let's say, 10 years later from now, it will no longer be an easy thing to hold such simple dreams.

22 year-old Liao Jiyong, who just came to Beijing to start a new life, complains a lot about the freezing weather in the city. When talking about his New Year's plan, he doesn't mention a word concerning the cold weather.

"Beijing is a big city. Everything is more expensive than back in my hometown. My rather low salary disagrees with the high consumption level. Living in the city, my primary goal is to narrow the gap between my salary and commodity purcases. So I have to work really hard to meet my goal."

Liao says he would like to think big. Sometimes he will even dream out loud to push himself forward.

"To devise a bolder plan, I want to buy an apartment and a car in Beijing in 2011. I know it's unrealistic. It's a dream that may take years to realize. But I will spare no effort to make my dreams come true."

Xiao Li has been working in Beijing for a few years. Despite teaching painting takes up most of energy, she has never given up her dream of becoming a great painter. Stepping into 2011, Xiao Li says she's happy to have a clearer goal than ever before.

"I think I'm making progress in my work. I didn't make my goal clear in the past. I would describe myself as a savage running in the open wild. But now I've found the right track and a clear direction."

Xiao Li says she's not going to hold back in making her dream come true in the 2011.

"I will hold my personal art exhibition in 2011. It's a big plan."

2011 can be a turning point in her life. Xiao Li says that a successful art exhibition may spread her reputation and lead her to the fast lane of becoming a renowned painter. Despite that it's a bold and risky move to open an exhibition all by herself, Xiao Li says nothing is going to make her stop chasing her dreams.

Xiao Wang decided to make a change to his life. He has been working at a security service company in Beijing for three years; in 2011 he's going to quit.

"I will go home and learn a trade, a really useful one. Then I can find a better job. Maybe I will start my own business."
47-year-old teacher Zhang doesn't have as much ambition as Xiao Wang. She says she's fed up with the fetters of work. It's time to take a rest in 2011.

"I want to live happier. I'm going to find out what's real besides being a teacher, a wife and a mother. I've been telling my students how beautiful the outside world could be. So my plan for 2011 is to travel to Venice and maybe to the Alps to see it myself. "

Zhang says it's never too late to make a change and start a new life, as long as it's a life that she truly wants. There's no better time to draft your own New Year than now.
