Okay, let's go from super-sizing your wine consumption to down-sizing your wedding cost. Today's last word in business is matrimony beneath the Golden Arches.

RENEE MONTAGNE, host:

Starting in January, some McDonald's in Hong Kong will offer McWeddings.

INSKEEP: The wedding packages start $1,000 - more than a Big Mac, but less than many competing receptions.

MONTAGNE: The happy McCouple and their guests get a personalized menu, decorations and McDonald's-themed gifts.

INSKEEP: And assistant director of marketing, Anisa Tio, says McDonald's will also provide the ceremonial dessert.

Ms. ANISA TIO (Assistant marketing director, McDonald's): The wedding cake, we have got a very special design, which is made from the apple pie. So we have got a special McDonald's apple pie wedding cake.

INSKEEP: The burger chain got the idea for McNuptials after seeing how popular birthday parties were.

MONTAGNE: But just to be clear, if you have a wedding at McDonald's, you may have uninvited guests. The franchise will not go to the extreme of closing down the restaurant just for you.

Ms. TIO: We have a lot of people that enjoy, you know, having fun time in McDonald's. So therefore, we'll set up a cozy area to have their wedding party, and the regular customer can still enjoy our meals inside our restaurant.

MONTAGNE: So far, these weddings are only available in Hong Kong.

INSKEEP: Oh, darn. Couples in the rest of the world will have to keep waiting for a fast food wedding to start their married McLives.
