1. eerie

这个词的意思是怪异而令人恐惧的。一个人走夜路的时候，看到漆黑一片的四周，就可以用这个词：

I walked down the eerie dark path.
我沿着漆黑吓人的小路走着。

She heard the eerie noise of the wind howling through the trees.
她听到风吹过树丛发出怪异而可怕的呼啸声。

2. terrifying
