Chile Quake Death Toll Stands at 795

Chilean President Michelle Bachelet says the death toll from the massive earthquake that rocked the South American country on Saturday has risen to 795.

She also said the government would send more troops to restore order and hand out aid in the country's second-largest city, Concepcion where the earthquake unleashed a wave of looting.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited capital Santiago, Tuesday bringing with her over 25 satellite phones.

Clinton's visit was a brief one as she spent most of her time at the airport where tea, flour and other supplies were being loaded for shipment.

The United States has pledged additional help including a field hospital with surgical facilities which Clinton said is "ready to go."
