在学习了定语从句以后，仍然还有很多童鞋对到底该选择关系代词还是关系副词傻傻分不清楚，其实，用什么关系词还是要根据具体语境中关系词需要充当什么成分，那么今天就来看看什么情况下使用关系代词，什么情况下使用关系副词。结合具体语境分析。
1.根据句子中所缺成分

A. This is at December when I decide to go to Italy.
我决定在12月份去意大利。（在这句子 when 是关系副词， 表明时间状语的作用）

B.This is December that I most enjoy in one year.
一年中我最喜欢12月。（这里that后的从句作定语修饰December，that 正好充当enjoy的宾语）

2.根据句中语境所表达的意思
A.I can`t accept that this place where I spent my precious childhood has disappeared.
我不能接受我度过珍贵童年的地方消失了。（根据表达的意思来看，从句句子主谓宾完整，缺地点状语，用where意思更完整）

B.I can`t accept that this place which(that) I have visited with my classmates last autumn, has disappeared.
我不能接受这个我和我同学上个秋天参观过的地方消失了。（从句中visit后缺宾语， 所以用关系代词which，不用where）

reason在主句中出现的情况：
A.The reason which he gave was ridiculous.

他给的这个原因是荒谬的。（从句缺少宾语，用关系代词which，使句子结构意思完整）

B.The reason why he did not tell others the truth was reliable.

为什么他没有告诉其他人事实的原因是可信的。（从句结构意思完整，用why在句中表明原因状语的作用，同时限定reason）

4.当先行词前面有介词时，不能用介词+which结构，只能用一般的关系副词
