1、在不太正式的场合提建议、问问题的时候最好不要用 “Shall we/I...”。（虽然课本上就是这么教我们提建议的。）
   在美国，人们一般不会说“Shall we go to see a film?”，他们直接说“Wanna go to the theater?”
2、想念朋友的时候也不要老说“I miss you a lot”啦！偶尔用用“I miss you a ton!”吧。
3、如果你请求美国朋友帮忙，说的是“Can I/ Could I...?”，关系好的美国朋友可能就会调侃你说“You forgot the magic word.”，“Say the magic word!”。What is the magic word？原来“magic word”=please！所以一定要随时随地说please哦！
4、跟好朋友或是好哥们儿说“我会联系你的”，可以用“hit up”，比如 “我到了你那里，肯定会找你的”用英文可以这样说，"I'll definitely hit you up when I get there!"
5、生朋友气了、感觉被朋友耍了的时候，说“我好想打你哦”, 就说“I wanna punch you in the face!”
6、“elephant in the room”，意思就是显而易见的大家都不愿意去谈论的问题或真相。
另外一个很常见的有关elephant的表达是“white elephant ”，意思就是浪费的、无用的东西，说得更简单一点就是累赘。
7、夸男生帅女生美多用 “cute”。说“恶心”的时候，人们一般说 “That's gross”， 并没有很多人说 “That's disgusting”。
