世博网安徽淮南11月8日消息：11月7日，安徽淮南龙湖公园内鼓乐炮声响彻上空，上海世博会吉祥物“海宝”塑像揭幕仪式在这里隆重举行。中共淮南市委书记杨振超，淮南市委常委、秘书长李忠，淮南市副市长王诚和上海世博局代表共同为“海宝”揭幕。淮南市各界人士共一千余人参加仪式。

淮南市委领导表示，要以“海宝”落户淮南为契机，以更开放的胸怀、更有力的举措、更热情的服务，营造共同关注世博、了解世博、支持世博、参与世博的良好氛围，积极对接上海世博会，主动融入上海世博会，为上海世博会的成功举办作出贡献。同时，要充分利用世博效应，共同分享上海世博会带来的发展机遇和成果。

A statue of Expo 2010 mascot Haibao was unveiled yesterday at Longhu Park in Huainan City, a famous coal producer, in Anhui Province.

Accompanied by representatives from the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, Yang Zhenchao, Party secretary of Huainan City, and other city leaders attended the mascot unveiling ceremony. The event also attracted more than 1,000 local people.

Yang said at the ceremony that the city and its residents were very excited to see the Expo 2010 mascot.

He also vowed that Huainan will make its contribution to Expo 2010 and at the same time, it will take advantage of this opportunity to promote local economy.
