1)back and forth：ad.来来往往地，来回地。

2)backward and forward：phr. 忽前忽后，来回地，前后地，前前后后(moving from one place to another and back again)。同义词：back and forth，to and fro。

【例句】

He walked back and forth in the room.

他在屋里来回走动。

Then I'd edit his copy, and we'd go back and forth.
