"Stars of Tomorrow," an international dance competition, concluded it's 1st year of competition on July 18, 2009 at the Lyceum Theatre.  VIPs such as the US Consul General in Shanghai, the founders and other members of the American Dance Competition Association, and associates from Starbucks and SMG all witnessed the ceremony celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States, as well as the contestants' fabulous performances.

The competition began in March, and only 10 of the best performances from nearly 2,000 schools received tickets to the final competition.  There were 4 tickets given to students from the United States, which demonstrated the cultural communication between China and the United States.

While the competition has lasted for more than four months, many teachers and contestants found that taking this step in the performing arts is a wonderful opportunity.  Teachers were awarded for their hard work and training, and contestants used the stage to showcase their talent, all of which were CD's goals in hosting the competition.

"Stars of Tomorrow" would have not been such a big success without the support and contributions from the media such as Entertainment Online, Xinmin Evening News, Shanghai Online, Oriental Morning Post, and Netease.  The help that came from the volunteers from Starbucks was also greatly appreciated during the competition. CD hopes that "Stars of Tomorrow" will be the leader in cultural promotion in Shanghai, the whole of China, and beyond.
