Hodge walked towards the door to meet the man entering. After exchanging friendly greetings, with Hodge leading the way, they walked towards a table closer to the back wall. No sooner had they settled down, a server approached them and presented the menu. While Hodge's guest looked through the list of food, the server mentioned the daily special as well as the chef's recommendation. Hodge paid close attention to his guest's reaction, trying to find out his impression of the restaurant. Soon enough, the guest made his decision, and Hodge also decided his meal.
