看不出来吧！这就是“美国版”小沈阳 - Joe Wang。

如同小沈阳一样，黄西也是一名奋斗在喜剧行业的中国人。他和小沈阳最大的区别是，出身在中国的他想的是如何用英语逗人开心。

粗看黄西，标准的WSN(猥琐男)的身材相貌，的确不出众。黄西也是漂洋过海出国留学的出身，稻米大学的博士，估计他肯定泡过沪江。

读书时黄西通过给大学报纸写专栏发现自己的幽默天赋，最终他放弃学术，走向了舞台喜剧的表演之路。

和小沈阳一样，黄西也有一个英文名字(他真有)，Joe Wong。和小沈阳还有一点相同，黄西也是先在东北地区（新英格兰）发展，有人说他做的非常成功。上周五（4月17日）黄西被邀请上了美国三大广播公司电视网CBS的晚间节目。表演时间不长，5分钟,但是观众反响热烈。我不敢说他马上要红遍美国（这个太难），但是估计不久wiki马上就会有他的介绍。

黄西的表演方式，老美叫stand up comedy, 非常象我们的单口相声：演员站在舞台上，仅靠语言来取乐观众。黄西是成年后才来的美国，所以他的英语有比较严重的口音，但是他的表演的确能够引起观众的大笑。

粗粗看上去，黄西符合大部分白人眼里的亚洲人形象，小个，呆，语音，甚至有点猥琐。youtube上不少人指责他靠迎合白人对亚裔的偏见来搞笑。这的确有一点，但是细细听黄西的段子，他的包袱是通用的。换一个人，抖同样的包袱，一样搞笑。所以我认为，黄西的确有天赋，至少他在CBS的表演不存在抹黑亚裔的问题。他的段子不仅提及了移民在美国社会遭遇的困难和歧视，也展示了移民在美国熬生存的乐观精神。通过他的表演，给人的感觉是：这个亚裔小个子有才够搞笑，不可轻视。

这里又是一番自嘲，stud这里的意思是：a man who is sexually active, 和它同义的还有一个单词我们很熟悉：he-man(就是“宇宙巨人希曼”，汗...)。

"take a bite out of sth."是个很不错的表达哦！可表示尝试某个领域，例：Dentists say claim took a bite out of business.

i am not good at sports, but i love parallel parking...

parallel parking 指的就是街边停车，或是叫“入库”。

because unlike sports...

whenever parallel parking, the worse you are...the more people they are rooting for you...

这里视频的字幕有个小错误：rooting 而不是routing, be rooting for sb. 是为某人加油打气的意思。

bumper sticker就是车后杠上的贴纸，有的车很夸张，会整个车背面都贴上这些东西，上面一般是一些口号什么的，比如“此处熊出没” OR “别摸我，我很脆弱”之类的。

it just says i have a screaming baby and a nagging wife...
