From the shadows, the figure used his cell phone as a flashlight, flickering it four times: short-long-long-long. The driver from the vehicle returned the signal, flashing the headlights three times: long-short-long-long. All while this was going on, Doug was trying to capture the transaction on video from his vantage point behind a tree surrounded by shrubs.
