nail house 钉子户

n. A house that remains in place while a development project proceeds around it, particularly because the owner of the house stubbornly refuses to sell to developers.

钉子户就是屋主不愿意把房子卖给开发商，项目只能在其周围进行的屋子。

话说小编以前也打算做一名钉子户的，因为实在是不愿意离开一起生活了二十几年的左邻右舍。
