The Palace Museum has posted a series of flash animations of ancient beauties through its official account on WeChat, which is based on the famous Qing Dynasty painting Twelve Beauties collected by the museum.
日前，故宫博物院在其官方微信中发布了一系列的古代美女动图，这些动图是以故宫内收藏的清代《十二美人图》为原型制作的。

The animations vividly depict these court ladies' elegant life, as we can see them looking at a mirror, drinking tea, watching butterflies or doing needle work.
动图生动逼真的展现了古代宫廷贵妇高贵典雅的生活，动起来的美人们或观镜、或赏雪、或观蝶、或女红等。

The painting Twelve Beauties is a series of 12 paintings created during the early Qing Dynasty using gongbi technique, a realistic Chinese painting style. The paintings are all the same size, 184 cm long and 98 cm wide, and depict scenes of court ladies' entertainment in the palace.
《十二美人图》创作于清代早期，12张图全部采用工笔画法，具有中国现实主义的绘画风格，且尺寸全部相同，均为184厘米长，98厘米宽，描绘了古代宫廷贵妇们的娱乐生活。
