A survey conducted in America, Japan, Singapore, British and Australia reveals that the average percentage of students who participate in sports in these five countries reaches as high as 57%. However, according to the survey in China, the percentage is 12%. In China, students time is occupied by homework, interest-oriented classes, such as piano, violin classes or calligraphy class and so forth. As a result, the physical condition of our students are fallen behind.

There is also a misunderstanding prevailing among young people in China. They believe the main purpose of sporting is losing weight, so if they are slim enough, it is necessary to do sports regularly.

I like jogging, which has been a part of my life. If you come to the playground in our university at 8:00 pm, I will say hello to you. Yes, I am there every night at that time. For me, jogging is an effort through which I can constantly surpass myself. There is an famous saying that the greatest enemy is ourselves. We are easily conquered by laziness, timidity. However, jogging make me persistent and brave. The first time I tried jogging, I could only jog for two circle. Day after day, I told myself add one more. Now, I can jog 15 circles without break.
I once watched a TED speaking about grittiness. The speaker says she do not know how to be gritty. I think I know the answer. Grittiness is the perseverance of jogging one more circle when I feel tired.
They are presents brought by jogging. That's why I like it and keep it.
