The Langham, London is one of the largest and best known traditional style grand hotels in London. It is in the district of Marylebone on Langham Place and faces up Portland Place towards Regent's Park. It is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World marketing consortium.

This old hotel is set in rocks next to the Circular Quay. It says that a ghost of a brave sailor living here since the colonial period. And according a guest who once stayed here for 8 days, the sailor was staring at them in front of the beds when they were sleeping, and the ghost often wandered in the galleries and eventually vanished in the mist.

It is the second largest wooden structure in the United States (after the Tillamook Air Museum in Tillamook, Oregon) and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1977 and a California Historical Landmark in 1970.

Banff Springs Hotel is also reputedly haunted. Stories suggest a woman dressed in her wedding gown lost her life on the staircase. There were candles on the staircase when the bride was walking up them, when suddenly her dress caught fire, in a panic she tripped and fell down the stairs, dying from a broken neck. Many people have reported seeing her ghost in full wedding gown, often dancing in the ballroom.

Now she is still very naughty and often plays with the guests, kocking the doors and then running away. She was died with hunger due to her husband locking her in the bedroom.

Named after United States president Theodore Roosevelt and financed by a group including Douglas Fairbanks, Mary Pickford and Louis B. Mayer, it first opened its doors on May 15, 1927. It cost $2.5 million ($33.9 million in today's money or dollars) to complete this twelve-story building, which holds 300 rooms and suites. It is now managed by Thompson Hotels.

To disperse with the evil ghosts which have a long-term stay, the hotel has placed a Chinese buddhist scripture at the entrance, and at the same time there are many religious decorative paper rolls in the lobby.
