"Campaign for Safe Cosmetics" (CSC), a nonprofit organization from the US, recently announced that some of name-brand baby bath products on sale contain high-levels of chemicals.

Famous baby care product maker Johnson & Johnson's shampoos, soaps, sunscreen, bubble bath, and lotions were among those on the blacklist.

According to CSC, they tested 48 different name-brand baby bath products for dioxane and 28 of those items for formaldehyde.

61 percent of 28 products tested contained the cancer-linked chemicals. 23 out of 28 contained formaldehyde at levels ranging from 54 to 610 parts per million.

In the broader spectrum test of 48 products, 35 contained dioxane with levels up to 35 parts per million.

Another baby product, Pampers, was also suspected of containing the harmful chemicals in its bath products.

In the supermarkets of China's major cities, such as Beijing and Wuhan, products of the two companies were still on shelf. Staff from these supermarkets said that they hadn't been given any instructions yet.

Spokespersons from the two companies declared that the levels of the chemicals in their products were within safety regulations and some of the suspected products were not on Chinese market.

Some customers say that they will monitor the matter before deciding whether to continue purchasing these products or not.

据媒体报道，美国非营利组织“安全化妆品运动”对美国市场上48种婴儿洗浴、护肤和化妆品检测后发现，其中32种产品检测出含有“1，4-二氧杂环乙烷”物质，23种产品检测出微量甲醛，17种产品同时含有这两种化学物质。这些物质均在美国环境保护署列出的“可能致癌物质”名单中。

针对上述报告，强生公司发表声明说，其所有产品均符合各项规定，检测出的有毒物质含量均在安全范围之内，并称报告对其产品的安全性“做出了错误的描述，与科学界和政府机构一致的看法相违背，也引起了家长们不必要的恐慌”。

昨晚，记者在家乐福方圆店看到，强生婴儿专家的各种湿巾、润肤霜、沐浴露等商品齐全，销售人员称，当前未接到相关产品的下架通知。

妙思乐进入中国前有检测

妙思乐品牌中国总代理、上海鸥美药妆保健用品有限公司沈女士表示：“我们的产品没有问题。”据介绍，妙思乐是进口产品，进入中国前要有检测报告才行，不能仅凭美国一个非官方组织的质疑就说产品有问题。她还表示，还没接到客户反映情况。她承诺，最快于今天对此事发布声明，并公布检验报告。

帮宝适甲醛含量在标准之内

帮宝适纸尿布的生产商宝洁公司相关人士称，公司已经得悉有关帮宝适婴儿用品的检测报告，美国检测的帮宝适产品是一款婴儿洗手液，其甲醛和“1，4-二氧杂环乙烷”的含量均在有关标准范围之内，是安全的，消费者无需恐慌。而国内帮宝适产品只有纸尿布和湿巾两种，并没有卫浴产品。其他产品仍然正常销售。
