国家统计局 2 月 26 日发布 2008 年国民经济和社会发展统计公报，初步核算，全年国内生产总值 30.0767 万亿元人民币，比上年增长 9%。公报称，2008 年，居民消费价格比上年上涨 5.9%，年末国家外汇储备 19460 亿美元，比上年末增加 4178 亿美元。全年税收收入 57862 亿元，比上年增加 8413 亿元。

The National Bureau of Statistics of China published a communiqué titled "Statistical Communiqué of the People's Republic of China on the 2008 National Economic and Social Development" here on Thursday. In 2008, the gross domestic product (GDP) of the year was 30,067.0 billion yuan, up by 9.0 percent over the previous year.

国家统计局本周四发布了公报，名为《中华人民共和国 2008 年国民经济和社会发展统计公报》。2008 年，全年国内生产总值 30.0767 万亿元人民币，比上年增长 9%。

上面的报道中，Statistical Communiqué 就是“统计公报”，是政府统计机构通过报刊向社会公众公布一个年度国民经济和社会发展情况的统计分析报告。一般是由国家、省一级以及计划单列的省辖市一级的统计局发布的。

Communiqué 是法语里的一个词，指的是官方发布的“公报”，一般具权威性及政治性，比如，a joint communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations（建交联合公报），press communiqué（新闻公报），war communiqué（战报）等。在中美关系中时常被提及的“中美三个联合公报”就是 The Three Sino-US Joint Communiqué。
