    来自美国Pennsylvania的音乐唱作人Lou Rogai，化名为Lewis & Clarke。02年推出首张EP，就被美国独立音乐杂志MAGNET评价为"A Gifted Newcomer"。第二年在欧洲厂牌Delboy发行专辑"Bare Bones and Branches"，与Cat Power, Grandaddy, Bonnie "Prince" Billy一起，被某音乐杂志列为Top 50 Albums Of 2003。对部分曲目进行改编并加入三首新曲后，05年这张专辑在美国重新发行。去年的现场专辑Live on WPRB，新旧曲各收录了两首，曲目不多，却足以让人反复聆听。

    Lewis & Clarke的音乐风格独特,听着他的音乐就会想起Josh Ritter，Iron&Wine，One Am Radio这类民谣艺人。07年5月发行的新作"Blasts Of Holy Birth"，除了第三首歌找来Lou的好友Hella的Aaron Ross助阵,其余都是Lou Rogai的个人创作。Man Man的Russell Higbee负责竖琴和键盘的演奏，Rachel的Eve Miller负责大提琴.封面则来自美国艺术家Erika Somogyi的画作。 

    "Blasts Of Holy Birth"以神秘氛围的提琴合弦开场，如同步入茂密而簇叶从生的森林深处.第二支专辑同名曲，轻柔的原声吉他如同静静流淌的溪水，伴着舒缓优美的大提琴，连鼓声都略带忧伤，与Lou Rogai的低声吟唱一起，形成一种微妙的平衡。清冷与空灵气质的拨弦流泻而出的音符，静美迷离一如新作的封面,令人爱不释手。
