Coastal residents along the Gulf of Mexico are beginning to evacuate Tuesday, trying to evade Hurricane Ivan, a dangerous Category 4 storm projected to hit from the Florida Panhandle to the Texas-Louisiana border sometime Thursday. The storm has already swept through a number of islands including Cuba, Jamaica and Trinidad, and has claimed more than 60 lives.
