Angelina Jolie hinted that she may end her acting career after taking on the epic story of Cleopatra.

The Oscar-winning actress confirmed in a radio interview that a biopic of the popular historical figure Cleopatra, most famously rendered on celluloid by Elizabeth Taylor, has been in development.

'We've been working on it,' Jolie told BBC Radio 5 Live in a recent interview.

'There have been lots of different ideas of directors and lots of different discussions,' she added.

Hollywood directors Ang Lee and David Fincher previously expressed interest in directing the film.

Angelina also recently told USA Today that she became an actress because her late mother wanted her to and she's more passionate about directing and her philanthropy work.
