With the popularity of smartphones, the monthly reset of mobile traffic data becomes more and more controvertial. Recently, from the general manager of China Mobile Guangdong Corporation, the metaphor that it is resonable to reset the mobile traffic data because it is like the drumsticks you buy at KFC heats up debates again. Moreover, what is more satiric is the response from KFC, that the drumsticks will never be reset, and you can do whatever to them.
As a customer, I surely will not agree with the point of the general manager. For a long time the mobile service in China is poor and the fee of it is relatively high, due to the absence of competition. And it is because of the change in communication in recent years--people would rather talk through mobile QQ and Wechat than talk by SMS and voice call--that the Three Companies start to feel uneasy. In a era where information is becoming more and more cheap and effictive, I believe full competition is inevitable for any companies in the world, and therefore, it should be not long before we see the cancellation of the reset of our expensive mobile data.
