Professor Lingo

Chimo University

翻译:melodyhan

And how is Canadian English different from American and British? Well, Canadian English is closer to American in pronunciation and idiom. Some of our words and our spellings do reflect British usage, however. We wouldn't use the British term 'lorry' for truck, but we have kept the 'o-u-r' spellings in words such as 'honour' and 'colour'. This has been very interesting, Professor. I'm afraid we're out of time. It has been a pleasure talking to you. Thank you. We have been talking to Professor Lingo of Chimo University.
那么加拿大英语和美式英语有什么不同呢? 两者在发音和习语方面是很相近的。不过,我们很多词汇和拼写也都反映出了英式用法。比如,“卡车”,虽然我们不叫“lorry”而是叫“truck”,但是我们也保留了一些o-u-r的用法,例如,“honour”和“colour”。 教授这真是太有意思了。不过我们恐怕时间不够了,很高兴能和您聊天。 谢谢。 我们刚刚采访到的是基模大学的语言学教授灵格教授。
