名词解释：遗产税是以被继承人去世后所遗留的财产为征税对象，向遗产的继承人和受遗赠人征收的税，是一个国家或地区对死者留下的遗产征税，国外有时称为“死亡税”。遗产税有助于加强对遗产和赠与财产的调节，防止贫富过分悬殊，开征遗产税已列入中国税制改革的议事日程。


7成老人认为遗产税起征点应在1000万以上：近日，中华遗嘱库称，经过对500位办理遗嘱登记的老人进行了随机问卷调查。结果显示，70%的被访老人认为，遗产税的起征点应在1000万元人民币以上。中华遗嘱库管委会主任陈凯认为，这次调查直接面对有继承需求的老年人，数据真实准确，反映了普通民众对于遗产税的心态和看法。
