in:v. 保持,维持;支持
例如:Don' t maintain your wrong opinion.(不要坚持你那错误主张啦。)
          They were determined to maintain their right.(他们决心维护他们的权利。)

10月29日:I think I managed to grasp the main points of the lecture.我认为自己可以抓住讲座的要领。

the main points:phr. 抓住要点
例如:I grasped the main points of the speech.(我领会了这篇演讲的要点。)
          Have you grasped the main points of the teacher?(你们领会了老师的要点了吗?)

10月30日:She makes it clear that she doesn't like swimming.她明确表示自己不喜欢游泳。

1.make it clear that: phr. 明确表明,明确表示
例如:I want to make it clear that I have no prejudice against you.(我要表明我对你没有偏见。)
          I must make it clear that I am in no sense a geography teacher.(必须先和大家讲清楚,我根本不是教地理的教师。)

例如:Don't put the cart before the horse.(切勿本末倒置。)
          To put emphasis on method at the expense of content is to put the cart before the horse.(强调方法而忽视内容是本末倒置。)

far:极高,很,最最(和最高级连用)
例如:This is by far the best.(这个尤其好。)
          He' s by far the tallest among us.在我们这些人中间个子比谁都高得多。
