Dinneen says ethanol is reducing dependence on foreign oil and holding down the price of gasoline. Ethanol is typically cheaper than petroleum. Fuel makers now add it to gasoline regardless of the law. So waiving the mandate would not matter much for now.
Dinneen说乙醇的使用减少了对国外石油的依赖，压低了汽油的价格。乙醇的价格明显低于石油，不管有没有这条法律，现在燃料生产商都会把乙醇添加到汽油里。所以废止这项要求如今没什么意义。
