侯祖辛参加《中国好声音》第6期，一首猫王的老歌《Love Me Tender（温柔的爱）》打动评委老师，兴奋了那英，顺利加入那英老师团队，一炮而红。那英称她的歌声里有“小转弯”，则正是自己队缺少的。

侯祖辛爸爸是侯牧人，当年的《红色摇滚》曾激动了无数人，他也是个一流的词曲作者，曾唱过一首《兄弟》，是写给张楚的，也给当年的摇滚女悍将卫华写过一首经典名曲《留下油灯光》。
