05月13日: Time tames the strongest grief.时间能缓和极度的悲痛。  

v. 驯养,使变得平淡
例如: Horses are easy to tame but tigers are hard to tame.(驯马容易,驯虎难。)
           Birds can be tamed by kindness.(亲切的行为可使鸟不怕人。)

05月14日:She forced a smile.她强颜欢笑。  

v. 强迫,用力推动
例如:He was forced into resigning.(他被迫辞职。)
          The thief forced the lock and broke in the house.(小偷强行开锁然后闯进屋子里来了。)

05月15日:An inexplicable longing consumes them. 一种无法言喻的渴望吸引着他们。  

1.inexplicable:adj. 费解的;无法解释的
例如:Her sudden and inexplicable loss of weight alarmed her doctor.(她的体重突然令人费解的减轻吓坏了她的医生。)
          The inexplicable disappearance of the woman worried everyone.(这个女人的失踪令人费解,使大家十分担忧。)

05月16日:The fire flamed intensely.火猛烈地燃烧。

例如:He was so informed and intensely forceful.(他是那么见多识广,极了不起。)
          Their feet were sore and intensely painful with cold.(他们的双脚冻得疼痛不堪。)

v. 暴露;浮现;摆脱
例如:By the weekend, physicians noticed an alarming pattern beginning to emerge.(在那一周的周末,医生们就已注意到一种令人不安的病象正在开始出现。)
          I know their plans to emerge from bankruptcy by February of next year.(我知道他们计划于明年2月之前摆脱破产困境。 )

05月18日:The pastry is light and crisp.这点心清淡松脆。

例如:Spread some flour on the table and roll the pastry out very thin.(在桌子上撒些面粉把馅饼皮擀得很薄。)
          To make pastry, you need flour, fat and water.(做油酥点心需要面粉、油和水。)

05月19日:I taped a label on the box.我用胶布把一个标签粘贴在盒子上。
