04月08日:Sorrow is nothing but low passion.忧伤无非是情绪低落。            

1.passion:n. 激情,热情;强烈的情感
例如:Her passion for me has cooled down.(她对我的热情已经冷下来了。)
          It was not for her to see the wellspring of human passion.(她当然不懂得人类强烈情感的来源。)

04月09日:I  can't walk about in this heat.我不能在这种酷热下走路。         

1.walk about散步,遛弯;徘徊;在人群中来回走动
例如:Stay here!It's unsafe for you to walk about.(呆在这儿!你四处走动不安全。)
          She might, possibly, have taken it into her head to walk about the garden?(她是不是心血来潮地到花园里散步去了?)

04月10日:It's lovely to see you again.很高兴又见到你。           

1.lovely:adj. 极好的,可爱的,令人愉快的
例如:Collect button is lovely way to pass the time.(收集钮扣是一种令人愉快的消遣方法。)
          This musician has composed a lovely piece of music.(这位音乐家创作了一首优美的乐曲。)

04月11日:We'd like to  wish you luck in your new job.我们希望你在新公司有好运。            

1.luckv. 交好运;侥幸成功;n. 运气;机遇;命运
例如:Don't expect to luck through without an effort.(别指望不经努力就能侥幸成功。)
         He had wonderful luck in all his ventures.(他干任何事情运气都好。)

04月12日:Mary's eyes shone with happiness.玛丽的眼中闪烁着喜悦的光芒。              

1.shine:v. 照耀;发光;显得刺眼;干得出色;把...的光投向;擦亮
例如:The sun shines brightly.(太阳明亮地闪耀着。)
          He shines out among the crowd.(在众人中他显得很出色。)

04月13日:The windows  were all nailed shut.窗户都被钉死了。             

1.nailv. 用钉钉牢,使固定;使集中;揭露
例如:I will nail up the new pictures on the wall.(我会把这些新的图画钉在墙上。)

         We must nail corruption before it gets out of control.(我们必须在失去控制前查出并揭露腐败。 )

04月14日:She's  a bit peculiar!她有点古怪!            

1.peculiar:adj. 奇怪的;罕见的;特殊的
例如:Some time ago, however, a peculiar fish was caught near Madagascar.(然而,不久前,在马达加斯加岛附近的地方捕获了一条奇怪的鱼。)
          Antique shops exert a peculiar fascination on a great many people.(古玩店对于许多人来说有一种特殊的魅力。)
