Actor Clive Mantle had his ear bitten off at a Travelodge after asking his fellow guests to be quieter.

The Press Association has learned that a 32-year-old South Lanarkshire man was charged with wounding with intent. Mantle underwent emergency surgery in order to save his ear after the man bit it off at around 4:30 a.m.
