01月07日:Don't worry so much about the future.不要过分担心将来。
 

v. 担心;使担心;骚扰,烦扰
例如: Do not worry. I 'll let you know when we arrive there.(不用担心。到了那儿我会告诉您的。)
           Do not worry me with such foolish questions.(不要用这些愚蠢的问题来烦扰我。)

01月08日:Her job is getting her nowhere.她现在的工作没有什么前途。

nowhere毫无进展,未取得任何成就
例如:She's a very clever woman, but her abilities get her nowhere.(她是个极聪明的人,但她的能力却无助于她。 )
          He got nowhere with his job.(他的工作一无进展。 )

01月09日:Mary doesn't feel in tune with city life.玛丽跟城市生活格格不入。

tune with和…合调
例如:His ideas are in tune with the times.(他的思想适合时代潮流。)
          The violin is not quite in tune with the piano.(这小提琴跟钢琴的调子不太和谐。)

01月10日: Snow blanketed the frozen ground.冰冻的地面上盖了一层厚厚的积雪。

tv. 用毯子盖;覆在...的上面;布满;掩盖;阻止;妨碍,抑制
例如:The valley was blanketed with snow.(山谷中覆盖着如毯的白雪。)
          An electrical storm blanketed out the radio program.(雷雨干扰了广播节目的收听。)

01月11日:He had made a real dog's breakfast of these accounts.他把这些账目搞得一塌糊涂。  

#39;s breakfast:大杂烩,一团糟,混乱的局面
例如:I cannot make head or tail of it. It's a complete dog's breakfast.(我简直摸不着头脑;事情简直是一塌糊涂。)

例如:Certain failures will require immediate attention.(有些故障需要立即引起注意。)
          Focus your attention on your work.(把注意力集中在你的工作上。)

01月13日:I didn't mean to offend you.我不是故意要冒犯你。

例如:You would be wise enough not to offend him.(你最好是不去冒犯他。)
          Onions offend her sense of smell.(洋葱的气味使她的嗅觉受不了。)
