Part 1 Introduction
1st time greetings:
How are you? / How do you do? Happy to meet you. / Nice to meet you. / Pleased to meet you. / Glad to meet you. / It’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m excited to meet you. / I’m delighted to meet you (more commonly used by women)
2nd time greetings:
How are you? / Good to see you again. / Great to see you again. / How are you doing? / How’s everything? / How’s it going?
1st person introductions:
Hi, I’m… / Hello, my name is…
3rd person introductions:
Let me introduce you to … / I’d like to introduce you to… / I’d like you to meet… / This is… (usually used to introduce peers, subordinates, or casual acquaintances)
Part 2 Usage
How are you?
I’m good/I’m fine, thank you.
I’m happy to meet you.
I’m glad/happy to meet you too.
It’s a pleasure to meet you.
The pleasure’s all mine.
How are you doing?
I’m doing fine/well/very well, thank you.
highly, extremely, exceedingly, greatly, overjoyed, ecstatic, wonderful, thrilled, charmed, elated, enchanted, lovely
on cloud nine, tickled pink, in seventh heaven, cool, groovy, fantastic(小编注:on cloud nine, tickled pink, in seventh heaven都是表示非常高兴的意思,这里都是英语俗语的表达)
Fair, so so, all right, okay/OK
