Emmy-winning actress Kathryn Joosten died Friday (June 1) from lung cancer. She was 72.
艾美奖得主凯瑟琳·朱斯滕（Kathryn Joosten）于美国时间2012年6月1日因肺癌去世，享年72岁。

Joosten had an extensive career in both TV and film, but she was probably best known for her award-winning work as Karen McCluskey on "Desperate Housewives." For this she earned two Emmys, in 2005 and 2008, as Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series.
朱斯滕一直活跃在电视电影银幕上，但她最为人熟知的角色莫过于《绝望的主妇》中的凯伦·麦克劳斯基（Karen McCluskey）。她也凭借此角在2005年，2008年两度夺得艾美奖喜剧类最佳客串女演员奖。

She was featured in another well known program, "The West Wing." Here Joosten played Dolores Landingham, the secretary of President Bartlet. She also had recurring roles in "Dharma and Greg" and "Joan of Arcadia."
她还出演过另一部知名电视剧《白宫风云》（The West Wing），在这部剧中她饰演巴特利特总统的秘书多洛雷斯·兰丁汉姆（ Dolores Landingham）。同时她也曾是《老公老婆不登对》（Dharma and Greg）和《天国的儿女》（Joan of Arcadia）的循环演员。

Her passing was mourned by her former "Housewives" co-star Dana Delany.

"Very sad to hear of Kathy Joosten's death. She was a salt-of-the earth nurse who became a brilliant actor. Her comic timing was nonpareil," Delany writes on Twitter. "Kathryn spoke openly and passionately about her fight with lung cancer. It is our loss that she is gone."
