The U.S. has finally started the prosecution of five Guantanamo Bay prisoners charged in the September 11th attacks, but the trial won't be starting anytime soon. People involved in the case against the self-proclaimed mastermind of the attacks and four co-defendants are predicting a long legal battle, the day after a 13-hour arraignment.

Police say they are investigating a body found in the stable area of Churchill Downs the morning after the Kentucky derby as a homicide. A police spokeswoman says the death doesn't appear to have any association with Churchill Downs.

Socialist François Hollande defeated conservative incumbent Nicolas Sarkozy to become France’s next president. Sarkozy conceded defeat minutes after the polls closed.

And 26 men joined the oldest standing army in the world Sunday. The Swiss Guards are protector of the Pope and must swear they will lay down their lives for the Pontiff.
