The basement of a building in New York SoHo neighborhood continues to be a hive of activity as investigators look for any clues in the 1979 disappearance of a 6-year-old boy. FBI officials were on the scene Sunday looking for any traces of Etna Patz. They've been digging up the floor and removing drywall for days.

Official partial results show socialist François Hollande and Conservative President Nicolas Sarkozy are advancing to the runoff of France’s presidential elections. A Hollande victory could alter the European political landscape.

And researchers are trying to learn what they can about a disease that's killed nearly seven million bats in the last five years. White nose syndrome is the culprit, but scientists don't know a lot about it.
