“微博实名认证，有身份，也有自由”，随着新浪微博先行一步打出这条标语，从今天起，玩微博就得实名制了。昨天北京市相关主管部门今天凌晨进驻新浪、网易、搜狐三大门户网站检查新微博系统的上线和运行情况。而在3月11日，腾讯微博也已经根据广东省的试点要求，对新注册用户实行实名制。昨天，记者在“大限”到来之前测试、比对四大门户微博发现，除搜狐微博已严格执行身份认证外，新浪、腾讯、网易等门户微博的仍较为宽松，跳过认证程序仍可以正常使用。

根据北京市和广东省的微博管理相关规定，微博实名制从3月16日正式实行。无论你是长期潜水的“僵尸粉”，还是每天勤勤恳恳发布微博的“达人”，都必须通过各大微博的后台进行真实身份信息的认证“验明正身”，否则将只能浏览而无法评论、转发微博。新浪方面表示，目前已有60%的新浪微博用户完成了实名注册。新用户需要提交身份证号码、手机号码等信息才能注册成功， 而对于已经注册成功的老用户， 则鼓励用户进行实名认证。逾期未进行实名认证的微博老用户，将不能发言、转发，只能浏览。

国内的微博用户可能不会对主要门户微博正式实施实名制表示热烈欢迎，但微博运营商显然会从实名制政策中获利。实名认证会使微博平台对于广告商来说更有吸引力，他们期望能从这些平台中产生经济收益。

Analysts feel that the move is unlikely to cause a steep drop in user engagement and may actually see an increase in advertiser interest, as it would weed out spam accounts and give Weibo more accurate information about its users, and make it more alluring to advertisers. The real-name policy may further boost the advertising potential of microblogging platforms.
分析人士称此次的实名认证不会对用户的参与度造成巨大的负面影响，但会很大程度上增加广告商的利益。实名认证会清除到垃圾账户，使微博用户的信息更为准确，这对广告商来说会是极大的诱惑。实名制会大大提升微博平台的广告潜力。

但也有不同的声音。新浪微博就表示出来担忧，认为最新实行的微博实名制会对微博服务造成消极影响，对用户行为产生限制。

“We believe that the requirement to convert existing users into verified users will have a negative impact on user activity in the short term. We cannot rule out any new tightening policy that may be introduced in future which may further impact our user growth and user activity in a negative way,”Sina Weibo chief executive Charles Chao said.
新浪微博的CEO表示：“实名制要求将现有的老用户转成实名认证用户，我认为这会在短期内对用户行为造成消极的影响，我们不排除在未来会引进新的紧缩政策影响用户增长和用户行为。”
