We use quantifiers when we want to give someone information about the number of something: how much or how many.
我们用数量词告诉别人数量的多少。

Sometimes we use a quantifier in the place of a determiner:

We ate some bread and butter.

We saw lots of birds.

We use these quantifiers with both count and uncount nouns:

Members of groups

You can put a noun after a quantifier when you are talking about members of a group in general…
当提到一般的群体成员时,用数量词修饰名词。

Few snakes are dangerous.

Both brothers work with their father.

I never have enough money.

…but if you are talking about a specific group of people or things, use of the … as well
但是如果提到一个特殊群体的人或事物,也用the来修饰名词。

Few of the snakes are dangerous.

All of the children live at home.

Note that, if we are talking about two people or things we use the quantifiers both, either and neither:注意,当我们提到两个人或者事物时,我们用both、either和neither修饰名词。

*Nouns with either and neither have a singular verb.
Either和neither修饰名词,动词用单数形式。
