State media reports Kim died from a great mental and physical strain. Li Ying takes a look at the reaction in the capital Pyongyang. The nation is overshadowed by the gloom of the season. And so are the people's hearts as they heard the death of their leader. Kim Jong Il has died at the age of 69. DPRK state television announced that their leader died from a heart failure on a train trip on Saturday on his way to give field guidance. He was said to have been physically and mentally over-worked. Agonising cries resound through Pyongyang. The grief have left residents speechless. Mourning for Kim will continue until the 29th. And the farewell ceremony will be held on December 28th. On the last day of the mourning period will be the National Meeting of Memorial. The DPRK National Funeral Committee, led by Kim Jong Un, has been set up, and the body of Kim Jong Il will be placed at the Kumsusan Memorial Palace.
