What we are learning around the world is that if women are healthy and educated, their families will flourish. If women are free from violence, their families will flourish. If women have a chance to work and earn as full and equal partners in society, their families will flourish. And when families flourish, communities and nations do as well. That is why every woman, every man, every child, every family, and every nation on this planet does have a stake in the discussion that takes place here. Over the past 25 years, I have worked persistently on issues relating to women, children, and families. Over the past two-and-a half years, I've had the opportunity to learn more about the challenges facing women in my own country and around the world.
我们从世界各地学到的是，如果妇女是健康的、受过教育的，她们的家庭会兴旺；如果妇女远离了暴力，她们的家庭会兴旺。如果妇女有机会工作并在社会中完全平等地获得报酬，她们的家庭会兴旺。而家庭兴旺了，社会与国家将会兴旺。 这就是为什么每个妇女、每个男人、每个孩子、每个家庭以及地球上的每个国家都应该关心这里所发生的讨论。 在过去的25年里，我一直致力于有关妇女、儿童和家庭的问题。在过去的两年半里，我有机会学到了更多的我的国家和世界上的妇女面临的挑战。
