I would like to thank the Secretary General for inviting me to be part of this important United Nations Fourth World Conference on women. This is truly a celebration, a celebration of the contributions women make in every aspect of life: in the home, on the job, in the community, as mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, learners, workers, citizens, and leaders. It is also a coming together, much the way women come together every day in every country. We come together in fields and factories, in village markets and supermarkets, in living rooms and board rooms.
感谢联合国秘书长邀请我参加这次联合国第四次妇女大会。这是一次真正的盛典――妇女做为母亲、妻子、姐妹、女儿、学生、工人、公民和领导在生活的方方面面：家庭中、工作中和社会上所做的贡献的庆典。 这也是一次聚会，如同每个国家的妇女每天都在发生的聚会，我们在田野和工厂里聚会；我们在乡村市场和超级市场里聚会；我们在起居室和会议室里聚会。
