October 12, 1928 - Graf Zeppelin's First TransAtlantic Flight.
October 12th, 1928, the Graf Zeppelin was the first commercial dirigible to cross the Atlantic. First class service is offered its passengers who are [-----1-----] 111 hours out of Germany, before landing in Lakehurst, New Jersey. The Graf Zeppelin, [-----2-----] designer Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin, made more than 500 TransAtlantic flights before Hugo Eckener retired it [-----3-----] the hydrogen-inflated Hindenburg. While landing in Lakehurst after a trans-Atlantic flight in 1937, the Hindenburg [-----4-----]. 33 of its 97 passengers were killed, but a [-----5-----] by US Navy personnel saved the others. That was the end of commercial dirge of it.
